Science training in developing countries is now geared towards producing graduates with strong academic background. The department provides solid base for practical teaching in Chemistry, physics and Biology. The teachers are highly qualified and experienced .

The department is internationally renowned for exceptional high scores that students attain in I.G.CS.E examinations. The fundamental objective is to give skill, understanding and appreciation of the basic techniques and methods used in practical work. The Physics/Chemistry and Biology laboratories are well equipped with ultra modern facilities.:
